The Annex is a vibrant Toronto neighbourhood that gets its inspiration from nearby University of Toronto. Students, faculty, artists and those seeking a mature 'Victorian-style' community flock to the area. Many of the cafe's, bars, restaurants and nightclubs that line Bloor Street draw both residents and those from outside the community. The area is bounded by Dupont Street on the north, Bloor Street on the south, Bathurst Street to the west and Avenue Road to the east. The Annex has always been recognized as one of Toronto's elite neighbourhoods.

Now over one hundred years old, the neighbourhood's Victorian, Queen Anne and Richardsonian Romanesque architectural styles attracted the likes of Timothy Eaton and George Gooderham. Bloor Street provides access to most of the shopping in the area. Boutiques, bookstores, food markets, restaurants, and outdoor cafes provide residents with a plethora of options. Nearby, Mirvish Village and Ed's Warehouse draw and even more eclectic selection of shoppers. For those seeking a fitness outlet, there are many options including the University of Toronto's Athletic Centre or the Jewish Community Centre.
Public transit is very convenient with the Annex served by Spadina, Bathurst and Dupont subway stops.
