Strolling through the scenic Hillcrest neighbourhood is one of Toronto's simplest pleasures. Mature tree-lined streets and lush landscapes provide residents with a sense of the serene in this urban oasis. Perched high up on the ridge of the Davenport escarpment - hence the name - Hillcrest offer's its residents one of the city's most spectacular views. The community of Hillcrest was first settled in 1840 and by 1904, the small village had grown large enough to be annexed into the city of Toronto. Homes in the northern end of the neighbourhood maintain their original turn of the century charm.

St. Clair Avenue provides area residents with convenient access to shopping with its stretch of independent retailers, grocery and convenience stores. The Stop Farmers’ Market at Wychwood Barns, known as one of the best farmer's markets in Toronto, provides area residents with fresh, tasty produce. Wychwood Barns also hosts Artscape, a 60,000 sq. ft. multifaceted community meeting place that encompasses live/work space for artists, as well as seasonal festivals. The St. Clair Avenue West streetcar connects area residents with the TTC. Motorists can generally get downtown in just under fifteen minutes.
