Lytton Park offers area residents a quiet neighbourhood rich with beautiful homes and large lots. The North Toronto municipality of Lytton Park is bordered by Mona Drive to the west, Yonge Street to the east, Lawrence Avenue West to the north and Briar Hill Avenue to the south. The subdivision was initially planned in 1886 and Lytton Park's first homes were built along Glengrove Avenue in the 1890's and early 1900's.
Under a canopy of mature trees, beautiful brick Georgian, Colonial, Victorian and Tudor style homes with generous sized lots were built. Today, homes in the area range from $1 million to over $4 million. The affluent Lytton Park neighbourhood has also become a preferred destination for retailers and hosts the popular Pusateri's Fine Foods on Avenue Road and Sporting Life on Yonge Street. The Gap, Roots, Lululemon and other small shops and cafes round out the mix.
Area families are rewarded by Glenview Middle School, Lawrence Park Collegiate and Havergal College which highlight the plentiful and highly rated local schools. Otter Creek Park is another gem within the Lytton Park neighbourhood and hosts two large outdoor skating rinks. For commuters, a short walk will bring you to Eglinton subway station to the south and Lawrence subway station to the north. If you prefer to take the car, Yonge Street provides a direct link to both the downtown core and to the 401 highway. Lytton Park is surely one of the most desirable locations to live in the city of Toronto.
